Today April 25, 2015 earthquake hits Nepal around 11:55 AM. Earthquake in Nepal 2072 according to United States Geological Survey, 7.9 magnitude earthquake occurred approximately 35 Kilometers east of Lamjung district. Tremors were felt across the region heavily affecting Gorkha, Lamjung, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Pokhara, Chitwan it is confirmed that the earth quake was felt in northern parts of India calming about 200 lives. In Nepal, death toll has reached over 4000 across state.

 After the earthquake, frequent quakes were felt in Kathmandu, Chitwan and other places. This earthquake have destroyed many historical palaces like Basantapur Durbar Square, Nine storied Dharahara (Bhimsen Thapa Tower) have collapsed killing atleast 30 people  Dharahara is one of the famous tourist destination in Kathmandu. The Monkey Temple ‘Shyamvunath’ have also suffered damage from earthquake.
